Course:The Essentials of Intramedullary Nailing - Introductory Instructional Course

The Essentials of IM Nailing is an introductory course aimed at teaching the core principles of IM Nailing to Core Trainees and Surgical Trainees, whilst also learning the safe and effective use of the TRIGEN™ IM Nailing system. Sessions will include presentations, cadaveric wet labs and case presentations to examine treatment options.

The course will explore Tibial Nailing, Retrograde Femoral Nailing and Antegrade Femoral Nailing (Diaphyseal and Cephalomedullary), examining each of the following:
• Surgical approaches and guide wire entry points
• Fracture reduction techniques
• Reaming techniques
• Surgical techniques for each system

Ideally ST3 / ST4 but please discuss with your local S&N Trauma Representative

Smith & Nephew have made the decision to sponsor all course fees for this event. However a fee of £100 will be taken from card details provided should participants fail to attend the meeting. Course registration includes all course material, lunches and a course dinner on the evening of Thursday, 6 June 2019. All travel and accommodation will remain each individuals responsibility.
