The Essentials of IM Nailing is an introductory course aimed at teaching the core principles of IM Nailing to Core Trainees and Surgical Trainees, whilst also learning the safe and effective use of the TRIGEN™ IM Nailing system. Sessions will include presentations, cadaveric wet labs and case presentations to examine treatment options.

The course will explore Tibial Nailing, Retrograde Femoral Nailing and Antegrade Femoral Nailing (Diaphyseal and Cephalomedullary), examining each of the following:
• Surgical approaches and guide wire entry points
• Fracture reduction techniques
• Reaming techniques
• Surgical techniques for each system

Participant profile
Ideally CT2 / CT 3 / ST3 / ST4 but please discuss with your local S&N Trauma Representative

Course registration includes all course material, lunches and a course dinner on the evening of Wednesday, 20 June 2018. All travel and accommodation will remain each individuals responsibility. Smith & Nephew have made the decision to sponsor all course fees for this event. However a fee of £100 will be taken from card details provided should participants fail to attend the meeting.

This course is intended for UK/Ireland delegates only. Please contact your local Smith & Nephew representative if you are interested in this course but are not from the UK.
